Jaya Prada's iconic western gown from
Sharaabi back in 1984. A classic South Indian beauty, Jaya Prada wasn't known for her high fashion gowns as the petite actress mostly essayed essentially Indian parts. A rare outing for her in a flattering gown + accessories (80s in Bollywood is not known for great style!). The Telugu actress had the most flawless face--as the Satyajit Ray himself pointed out--however, despite being a capable actress and fine dancer, her choice of movies where she was the accessory to the male co-star/lead never made her a serious contender to the top spot... unlike her famed arch rival, Sridevi.
Jaya here was just 22. One of her better roles...
