Sure she looked dazzling in the film, but... oh this was a difficult watch. Instead of spice it was just dull, and my-God boring. It ended the directorial career of Paul Mayeda Berges, and to a certain extent ended Rai's career in British films. The success of Bride and Prejudice [that released earlier by the same team] quickly forgotten...
