Karan Johar and Gauri Khan (Mrs Shahrukh Khan no less) were asked to leave the screening of the film by the film's producer--Rangita Nandy--as they were not invited. It made such lofty headlines back in 2005. Young Rangita (nepo baby, daughter of media tycoon Pritish Nandy) never really explained what the heck happened and why - now 20 years later of course, it doesn't matter. But my, what sticks in memory!!
The denials lasted for five minutes as Shahrukh Khan later addressed it. Karan Johar hinted at it on a talk-show.
