In August 1981, Rekha was 26 years old (she was born on October 10, 1954, and turned 27 two months later).
Coincidentally, August 1981 was a landmark month in her career—Yash Chopra's iconic romantic drama Silsila was released in theaters on August 14, 1981. By all accounts, Rekha has never looked better on the big-screen.
