The Telugu star actress looked like an interest mix of Rekha and  Sridevi. Though she found limited success in Bollywood, her career was stellar in Tamil and Telugu films. 

When Sridevi got too busy and expensive, Bhanupriya was part of the bandwagon dragged in to find 'the next Sridevi'. Along with Radha and other south Indian dancing stars who never had lady luck sit by their side in Hindi movies. 

Sridevi had famously said, there are several Indian actresses who were good looking, talented, hard-working but if luck didn't favour them, they didn't make it big in Bollywood - which only worships success far more than talent. Well, especially in the Reaganomics of the 80s in B'wood.
